Camus Productions is based in Camberley, Surrey and has been providing high quality entertainment to the local community since 1967. The Society performs two musicals each year.

Since 1967, Camus has staged over 80 musicals, ranging in style from Showboat to Jesus Christ Superstar and from South Pacific to Return to the Forbidden Planet. We have staged four original shows - Sherwood in 1979, Little Dorrit in 1992, Catherine in 1998, Playing to the Gods in 2001 and, more recently, The 43 Club Musical in 2009; these shows were written by John Pibworth and John Hobson, with the exception of The 43 Club Musical which was written by Rob Keys, John Pibworth and John Hobson, all of whom have been involved with Camus for many years. Little Dorrit won a NODA award for excellence. Click the ‘Previous Shows’ link at the top of the page if you would like to see a complete list of our previous productions.

We would like to invite you to join us!
Everyone is welcome, whether you are interested in acting and singing or backstage activities such as stage management, scenery construction, lighting and sound. We also have a strong front of house team responsible for welcoming our audiences and selling programmes.
For those who wish to perform, we rehearse twice a week from 8 pm to 10 pm every Monday and Wednesday at The Orchard, James Road, Camberley.
If you are interested in technical activities, contact our technical team to register your interest; for all other enquiries, questions or comments on any aspect of Camus Productions contact our management team. Please remember to leave your contact details so we can get back to you.
In between producing two shows each year, we also manage to squeeze in social events like theatre trips, barn dances, skittles evenings and even the occasional party.
